Dry Skin Remedies Before and After A Swim During Winter

 

What happened? All of a sudden your skin is ashy and your walking around looking like a ghost. *in walks Winter*

Winter can take a very harsh toll on your skin if you aren’t aware of what it’s doing, how your skin reacts to it, and the part Chlorine plays in making matters worse. It’s like Winter and Chlorine have teamed up to rage a war against you.

Getting Ready For A Dip

A great cream to use before you enter the water is Aquaphor. This thick cream creates a barrier that protects your skin from the initial harsh contact with chlorine. You made it to the pool for a swim during Winter! Now you must get ready to beat the wind as you head back out. 

Once you finish your workout make sure you rinse off your body. We all know you love super hot showers, but that ruins all of your attempts to avoid dry skin.

If you plan on taking a full shower avoid using soaps with a lot of fragrance.
